Wait... so would it be a bad idea to have no passenger seat, a gutted trunk, and under a 1/4 tank of gas for the Auto-X????

I also have a lightened exhaust but have a more aggressive alignment.

Will the handling be affected that much?

Andre
Anyone got an answer for me? I really don't want to ruin the handling for the Auto-X but if it doesn't affect much, then it's all good.

Oh crap... didn't even see it... my bad.

So you think stripping the trunk won't affect that much? The gas issue I think I'm going to put at least a 1/4 tank cause I'm afraid of fuel starvation.

As mentioned in the shoot off thread you made, the only thing stripping your trunk and removing your seat will cost you in autocross is knocking you out of A-Stock. If you are already ineligeble from other mods, then no big deal (unless it makes a difference between Street Prepared and Prepared, I haven't really looked into those rules).

As far as raw time though, you should gain a lot more from the weight drop than you would lose through the balance issues (which will be minor in your case anyway).
