You must? I hope you're a damn good driver before you start telling people to lose weight

I really hate to do it but I must...... I have been to quiet a few track events, enough to notice that some have a good 50lbs to loose off their guts. If your that serious of a racer that 3 or 5 lbs here and there is so important why not get on the treadmill a few days a week and you have a great way of making your car lighter. And this is a free mod. I only weigh 165lbs, that is already a 50-100lb weight savings from most. Why not work this from both ends of the spectrum (your weight reduction + cars weight reduction). I run ab classes as side job thing so by my nature I really couldn't help it sorry....
I think thats a rather obvious statement to make and did not need to be pointed out. Although it probably been discussed at some point in time in this tread....
I would imagine that if you were to poll people at the track and tell them to their faces that they are over weight you'll get the same answer. It most likely will not provoke an angry response either. People, or at least most people are conscientious of their physical condition and will not argue that losing any weight would be beneficial in all aspects of life. Prompting people to make a change and sticking to it is much more difficult then merely pointing out their flaws, but I guess you already know that.

15lbs to go

This particular thread is about S2000 Weight reduction so....

Sorry but I guess what I am trying to say is if racing becomes a serious enough activity that you will sacrifice anything and all level of comfort for 1lb.... Send me a pm and I can give you some tips as how to burn off excess body weight. It is just hard for me to rationalize a 2lb weight saving to do something unpractical when they could have skipped dessert one night to reach the same result. I am done, will leave weight loss out now.

I think the whole point of the thread is discussing the car weight, the fitness part of the sport including the driver's weight is certainly an issue, but wasn't the intention of this thread.

why don't you chip off the tar in your trunk . And take out the interior carpet and chip the tar and sound material, then throw the carpet back on ?? That will take some weight off

Go look at a CR s2000 which may come w/o AC from the factory and see how it is setup.

Its not a problem. There is still plenty of contact area on the water pump. I've run without ac for over 4 years.

This is fine:

As have I. And we're always at high RPM. No belt slip.
