Current SCCA National Champion, Tom Berry, stomped everyone in BSP in his monster EVO. The torque/acceleration in that machine is incredible.

STi's are also in there.....turbo Solstace (don't think there were any?) and all years of S2k.....probably Jason Uyeda had the most prepared BSP S2000 in the country.....runs in the same region as Tom and moi. I seem to recall that he managed to beat Tom once last year in a local event.....that's the black one we saw a photo of somewhere on here recently......red trim on the 18" wheels, yellow'd light lens.

[QUOTE=Reijo,Jun 5 2008, 07:48 AM] I don't recall seeing any S2000's at Topeka with a roll bar.

ASP

Also, don't forget the Rahal s2000 driven by Jared Rahal and sometimes Jason Tipple. It has more into the suspension than the car is worth according to Jarad.

The Solstice GXP could be moved to BSP soon. See the June FasTrack.

Yeah, I think unless the 2nd car I buy to complement the autocross car is a decent track car, I might have to give up on the idea of getting an S2000.
Unless you expect to run in the top three at the National Championships, I don't really think that a roll bar is going to make enough performance difference that you should bail on the idea of getting an S2000 if that's the car you like.

And I guarantee you won't touch Tom's times no matter what you do to your S2K ...

LOL

Should you give Tom a drive in your car, he's liable to beat you in it - even if he has never driven a similar car before! hahahaha....definitely one of the best drivers I have ridden with!

Of course, as proof of his driving ability, he has a number (4 or 5?) of those National Championship jackets from Topeka ... go figure, eh?

Top three is what I'd be shooting for at a minimum. I don't have any experience in AS or any other class really, but I believe I'm a contender for a top spot in STX this year. If I'm dumping so much money into this sport (because I enjoy it - the sport, not the money spending ), why not go for the win?
