I know of atleast 5 people who were really wanting to go to this but couldn't due to timing or cash. I'm going to try and arrange another session in the spring for those who want to go.

I'm all for that. The more time in the formulas the better at this price.

Hey Al,

Looks like cthree might do another one of these in the future. I'll definitely be interested in the next one.

If you thought you were looking forward to it before...
hehe i know which is funny, the cornering and acceleration G's on my celica are probably half of those on the Z3 lol forget the formula cars. At least you s2000 guys are used to driving fast cars, I drive a stupidly slow automatic with 140hp and like 2 ft/lbs of torque but I will have a tad bit of shifter or rotex cart experiance by then so I should be ok

I drove by the academy today and saw the Z3's sitting in the lot, it was pretty cool.

on a side note i'm curious if there is anyone staying at any other hotels besides the excalibur? cthree i was at the excalibur today talking group rates with one of the hotel managers and he said you won't find a better deal better than the one you get unless your getting your rooms comped, 35 a night is one awesome deal if anyone can jump on that deal go for it as even though I can usually get discounted rooms on the strip they aren't as good as that and it's really tought to get comps and discounts for me here in winter

I'm rambling blah blah I'm just damn excited!!!!!!!! I've been working nonstop since I put my deposit in, this way I not only have money for this one but if there is ever another when I get my s2k I'll be there for sure. There sadly isn't enough S2k owners here in vegas that are willing to get together, right now I only know of me (who doesn't even have theirs yet) and another person

You are correct. They are going to be evaluating our skillz on day 1. It's highly unlikely that they are going to skip those things but it is likely that they aren't going to do more of it than necessary. I also think they will evaluate us individually so we'll probably start lapping as soon as we each pass through the basics, some sooner than others. Just a guess but it seems logical to me.

I agree totally. I personally would like to blow through days 1 and 2 as quickly as possible and get on to the racing. I think my car control skills are adequate and I've done enough hot lapping to know the fastest line. I'm sure I'll learn a ton in these areas but not nearly as much as someone with little or no track experience.

Day 3 is race day with passing and starts. That's the new (and exciting) part for me.

Well, I'll drive as fast (faster?) than anyone I know and know my way around mountain roads with the car in full song but I'll tell ya my heel & toe is non-existent. Maybe a little bit of time spent on getting that down would be helpful to me. Other than that, anyone who saw the auto-x at fall colors knows I know a bit about car control

Whatever you guys want is fine with me but I bet they do use day one to feel us out. If that's the case, then we'll be moving right along in short order.
