TWF, have you seen this description of how the KW V3 works: http://blog.kw-suspe...m/archives/2474

It gives a pretty good description of how it uses a combination of adjustable needle valves, fixed shim stack valves and spring loaded blow off valves.

After reading about how the shock works I'm thinking the adjustable valves don't need to be tweaked because the rebound adjuster is a tapered needle valve and I have plenty of compression adjustment left at 3/4 out in front and 1 turn out in the rear. I'd be happy if we could just get the high speed rebound damping increased to match 750lb front and 700 rear springs.

Not same as Ohlins. V3 has no shim stack like ohlins, just blow off alone, according to their drawing.
