Default Short hub vs long hub with quick release

Felt the long hub with quick release put the steering wheel a bit too close to me. I may need to buy the short hub to test out. Curious what are most people using a short or long hub, along with their quick release. Quick release adds about another inch or so. PS I'm about 5' 10".

Thanks
Justin

I have a Personal Neo Grinta 350mm, Works Bell Quick Release, Works Bell Short Hub. It sits about 2" closer than the oem wheel. What kind of steering wheel are you running? My personal wheel has a bit more dish compared to the momo/sparco stuff.

Personal 330mm, thank you! Sounds like short hub is the way to go.

You can do a long hub and bend the pedals to match the distance increase.

I have the Momo hub along with the NRG 2.5 quick release & Personal Trophy 350mm wheel. I'm planning on getting a short hub when track season rolls back around in the spring. The Momo hub just brings the wheel a little too close for my tastes. Also when driving around town I have to take my hand off the wheel to reach the blinker/wipers which is irritating lol.

My goal was to bring the wheel forward a little as my left knee would hit the wheel in OEM form while shifting and I got into the habit of tilting my leg to the left to avoid this. I also wanted an anti-theft device and I figured bringing my steering wheel with me is as much as a deterrent as having an alarm is. If they really want it they'll figure out a way.

Ckit: It looked like I could bend the Momo hub to shorten it up, but I was worried about affecting it's strength/durability after doing so.
