Good point indeed... If memory serves me right, and it likely doesnt, Jason was running Autocross Hoosiers at the Streets that day.
As someone on the outside looking in, the Production class seems ripe for Cheating Bastard Moves with all the intense rivalry and loose interpretation of rules. Maybe you guys should require tech inspections after each session, with a rules committee and penalties for uncovered CBMs

Just as a point of interest, Yokohama is coming out with a softer, stickier version of the A032's.... The A032R

I was just kidding of course, but if there were inspections, the inspectors/judges would have to be from STOCK class (definitely not Aaron
). But then the bribing/payoffs begin
(This assumes that Stockers aren't experienced enough to be cheating bastards themselves.)

consesus sounds good: production combatants should be able to,and even encouraged to
run slicks as rules don't prohibit. jeez, doods.....this is not going to be your fast track feeder series to FIA-GT/ALMS. this is whats great about the series....you aren't constrained by draconion rules, so various approaches can be tried within a format that still encourages great competion, you cannot get this in typical sanctioned racing. Moresoever, most of my Ricer tactics would be specifically outlawed and i would be banned for life.
Doug:smoke more crack and get those slicks. this will only improve the show, increase the competitive atmosphere and we all learn some more. It a road racing "Bracket Racing" format in my mind anyway. To some extent, I don't care what you have regardless if i'm faster or slower....its your mod adjusted lap time that i'm looking at anyway.
i.e. (raw laptime x modification factor) = comparative laptime.nonetheless there is no substitute for hottest lap....so slicks are good.
i've been running 2 size of rear tires at last several events and specifically noting the lap time difference with no other adjustments.....you need to do that with the slicks.
also, if you don't warm them up and visit wall 6 or flat spot them
on your warm up lap we all get more giggles.
any novices wanting to run slicks, i am here for you for as a private coach......PM me for rates and availability.

Hey, jzr.....Saini is up to his old B_llshit!!!
get the KING car, bring it to LS, we all drive it and i guarantee myself and Rhoads will smoke your ass. anything else is total BS. Please get a real job and buy an S2000, you can buy a salvage title and rebuild it for cheap since you are such a super genius.
your comment about superchargers is prototypical of your disingenuous cone-dodger horse doody. the king car has great power adders and w/o the throttle response issues and other phenomenon with crank driven forced induction. ive driven a normally aspirated S2K with the full Mugen treatment and more and it leaves nothing on the table to mine x-cept top end, but the midrange is superior. i would gladly have that motor in my car.
i'll take off my blower belt and whoop your ass also. Furthermore, the aero/downforce is what makes the King car, and you know that or you are clueless. take a look at all forms of professional racing.......they all have big ass wings...as much as the rules allow. There is no substitute for Aero grip..there is no other way to go faster once mechanical grip is exhausted. However, you may not appreciate it if you can only afford to drive around parking lots at 45mph in 2nd gear.
Save your pennies and meet us at Road America.
