I am new to all this, so I need help understanding how it works… I am trying to figure out if I can use the I-phone -4 and the Harry’s App without jail-braking the phone.
So you only had your Iphone-4 and the Harry's Lap Timer Pro iPhone App? Is the Re-used blue tooth MaxQData GPS for a more accurate GPS data position? and QXP Kiwi WiFi OBDII interface to get throttle position? How will the App work without the OBDII?

You only need to jailbreak if you want to use the external bluetooth like the I-blue gps randoms using. The external gps just give more accurate placement for mapping and timing. I think the tom-tom kit doesn't need to be jailbroken for to work. Don't know though.

With out the OBD part you won't have the throttle and rpm info to view too.

what can you do with the data to analyze and improve your performance while at track between runs?
i mean without PC.

 

I made the mount out of my modifty mount, Iphone camera stand, and the otter box clip. I had all the things laying around the house so the cost was basicly <$10

 

rob did you ever have issues with the sound not syncing right? I've made 3 videos so far and everyone of them the sound is off sync. for example- if you hear accel, 3 seconds later youll see me accel. It's wierd. The g-forces are at the right times though.

I couldn't find the I-Blue gps anywhere. So I ordered the one posted below. Hopefully I can figure out to bstack stuff.

I have not noticed any lag between the video and the data. Occasionally I will see OBDII lag, but I attribute that to the OBDII itself.

 

Tight course! No I have not seen any delay like that.

Let us know how the GPS works. Jailbreak and BStack are easy to do.
