Default soft pedal after ABS activation?

I lost the backend pretty bad and had to put both feet in and looped round 180 with all wheels locked up. I was hard on the brake then I felt it go soft, felt like it went down about half way to the floor then I felt the ABS drumming under my foot.

Anyways after that the pedal felt softer/closer to the floor and the braking was not as sharp car felt a bit sketchy under braking.

I'm wondering if the ABS boiled the fluid or what happenned? I have speedbleeders and I'm wondering if they are not sealed right or something

Maybe there was an air bubble in the ABS system that got into the main lines when you engaged ABS. Have you re-bled the brakes since this happened? Did that improve the feel?

I know about the bubble thing but I had the ABS on recently at an auto-x about a week before I bled the brakes for the trackday so it should have been cleared out

People tell me to just bleed again, but once I go aggressive on the brakes and ABS activates again, pedal repeats going soft.

Maybe you were low on brake fluid and the spin was enough to slosh the reservoir and pull a bubble into the system. Have you checked the brake fluid level?

I'd just bleed it again. Should be quick and easy with speed bleeders. If they aren't sealed right, you will likely see fluid around them on the calipers.

ABS shouldn't go crazy with all-wheels locked in a spin... at least I don't ever remember feeling ABS in a spin....

yea I have noticed that before.. The fluid was bled b4 the track day and was fully topped up

I have had it before you're right it doesn't normally go off for me either this was quite a violent spin I left some nice tire marks on the track!
