Solutions for Cracking Rotors on Track?
To me, BBK means running wheels that require rolling my fenders, which most people have done anyways. The PFC and RB 2-pc rotors are great, but if the initial capital for those rotors is equivalent to new rotors for BBKs and BBKs have a larger surface area for heat dissipation + more even pad wear and usage, then the BBK is more worth it in the end. Well if the S2kc price + quality BBK comes along, I may just snag that. Who knows, maybe half off on the PFC bbk kit?
Hook it up Billy! j/k.
Btw, nice breakdown Alex. BBK is definitely a top priority in the "nice to have" column of stuff. The "need to have" is a little different for various usages.

Do slotted rotors help?
Also, for the people who have rotor cracking issues, what temperature do your front brake rotors get to after a session? I used my infrared temp gauge and my front rotors were 300 degrees after a 20 minute session with a 1 lap cool down and another 3 minutes of cool down driving around the pit area.
FYI, I have 2" brake ducting on the front rotors.

Ive never cracked a rotor on any S2000 I've driven. Sometimes (on rare occasions when the moon and stars align
I am decently fast around a course.) Maybe you guys are just a bit rough on the brakes? Or using a compound too crazy for this car? (XP12 comes to mind)
In any event, I have a hookup for Racing Brake rotors on the S2000 OEM brakes, when I can confirm pricing for you guys I'll see if I can get them for a better price. I think if the price went down on these they would sell like hotcakes on R&C so hopefully something comes from this. No promises as of now though!

Squirtle, I think you are an outlier. It took me 11 track days, but I finally cracked a Centric premium front rotor using XP10 pads. But my track is slower and more technical; my top speed is 97mph on the main straight before the braking zone to a 70 mph turn, followed by a 2nd straight where I top out around 92mph before a 2nd gear turn.
While I get this is a joke I've tracked multiple cars more than 6+ days and 2 over the course of a year. I used a set of OEM rotors for 12 track days!
