Based on these new rules with my horsepower at 210 and my current comp weight at 2836, I either need to add 209 lbs for TTC or lose 421 lbs for TT4........ both seem a bit daunting! Anyone else in a similar boat?

So all this about "I need to find 40 hp or loose more then I weight" for TT4 stuff doesn't make sense. The S2000 was NEVER the car to have for TTC, it was always 20-30hp down on what a real TTC car can make. My TTD civic built to TTC would have run Circles around an S2000 due to FWD mod factors and the fact that it had points in the bag to make big hp. So all you TTC guys , just take some weight out and put A7's on the car and you'll be in the mix in 4 the same as you would in C.

Question I have is reading the rules will the CR bumper be legal.

TT5 is really the only hope without spending cubic dollars to get power, although the rumors are Greg wants to boot the s2000 from TT5.

I don't think it was the OPTIMIZED car to have, but I think it was a very competitive car with limited cash outlay for mods. I think it was an easy car to make competitive. E36 M3s and S2000s seem to always win TTC around here.

Yeah I am leaning toward putting a stock exhaust and airbox back on the car and then ballasting the remainder for TTC in 2017 at 14.5:1....... then re-evaluating toward the end of next year as we see what the TT5 rules are going to be....

A big part of of why I bought an s2000 was for its reliability on track. I have no desire to start modifying the motor or to do a motor swap.... I would much rather work with weight instead.

Coming from the guy that ran his 3000lbs 220whp S2000 in TTB on street tires.

Are your calculations based on peak WHP or avg whp for TTC? Because TTC should use avg whp formula for 2017.

And hopefully there is a tire size mod factor as well.
