Stoptech BBK Front and Rear - What pads?
#22
You can run the pads they came with for a while to get a feel. When I first got my kit I used the pads they came with and they never faded but they didn't stop as good as the DTC70s I eventually put on them.
The rotors will last a long time. I used about half the stoptech pads, a full set of XP10s, and I'm about halfway through a set of DTC70s all on the same rotor rings.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! It helps and glad it can help others with the same question.
I actually did email Stoptech, and they said the Stoptech pads in the kits should have enough heat capacity to feel things out, at my level and with the street tires I am on. So I probably will do the first couple events with the pads that come in the kit. But I will keep all these recommendations in mind.

ive had a really good experience with the cobalt's. i'm surprised no one has mentioned them. i run the xr2's front and the xr3's rear. i love the way they feel compared to the dtc-70's(or any hawk compound really). the xr2's are a little rough on the rotors if you drive them on the street but the xr3's are not, they don't destroy them on track though.

PFC are good.
PMO 800+ were too weak for me.
Carbotech XP8 - didn't like them too much. Would check other options.
Hawk DTC30 i've liked - not tooo agressive, quite easy on rotors.
