I can't wait to get a set of these to test out. They should have a more forgiving/usable range at the limit that could make for some consistent times.

Plunked down my money for a set of Rival 255/40R17s today. Shipping was $105, ouch! Tire Rack promptly called me to let me know that they would not ship until the end of March or beginning of April. It sure would be nice if they were here in time for the SD Tour or El Toro Pro.
Looking forward to seeing if they work as good as they did at NOLA on Tuesday.

Regarding RPF1's for STR
A while back I mentioned that Bob Endicott had been running RPF1's. At nationals there was some word going around about Bob's wheels so I thought I would let you guys know how he is able to run RPF1s in STR Legal Trim.
Stock Reference:
Bob had his upper control arms cut down and rewelded to make it essentially his camber adjustment. This allows for more clearance inboard so that the rim does not come in contact with the upper fender. Bob runs something close to -5º of front camber and has more than enough clearance from the fenders. RPF1s fit in the rear of the s2000 in STR trim as long as you run more than 3.5º of camber with no contact with the bumper tab. Guy Ankeny verified this on our car while we were in Lincoln test fitting Bob's RPF1s with Toyos.
So, if you want to run RPF1s you'll need at the minimum -4.5º of front camber with shorter upper arms and -3.5º of rear camber.

Question: I should've asked Bob Endicott in detail when I had the chance as he told me he cut the arms to run this setup. Is there any other solution to run RPF1 17x9" +45 square setup with 255/40/17's other than having to shorten the upper arms? For example, can you simply relocate the bumper tab and/or pull the fenders enough for clearance? Please advise. I am a little confused since alot of s2000 track setups run 17x9 +45 square with rolled fenders/minor work (assuming they have proper clearance underneath). New to SCCA/Autocross running CST and prepping car for STR.
