What about SC vs TC? I still subscribe to the belief that SC is more reliable.

Especially in the central valley heat.

s/c develops alot less heat than the turbo, with the after cooler on the s/c you can drive it on cold so cal mornings and the after cooler is cool to the touch inside the engine bay. Stock boost is good for up to about 300whp, with ems, injectors, and a smaller pulley 325-350whp and with enough time and effort theres incredible potential.

All good points, but (providing it lasts the lap) the turbo will eat the supercharged car for lunch around the racetrack.

Having the 6psi at 2500-3000 rpm all the way to 9000 is much quicker.

What PSI does a comptech make at 6000?

No arguement there's more power and area under the curve w/ the TC. The question tho is one of reliabilty.

And if you're ever at 3k rpms you're not driving the car right. I'm almost NEVER below 5k.

Sure, stroking it can be fun, but I'd prefer to be blown....

I'm all about a factory internally stock motor. I've had perfect reliability with bolt-on mods on my Vette, Prelude, and now S2000. I prefer to know the motor will be 100% reliable while busting on it at any and all track events year in and year out.

The AP2 motor feels so understressed even bouncing on the 8,200 rev limit. I love it.
