hardly. It'll go a lot faster than that.

Comptech @5.5psi, worn out Tein RAs, corded front tires (RAs), mismatched rotors/pads (Raybestos on RF, Cobalt? on LF). Full tank of gas.

How much faster than 2.00.xx at TH w/Cyclone with all of the above factored in?

half-assing your setup isn't an excuse

How could I factor in that shit? You had a s2k w/ a comptech sc.

Bottom line is bob bradfield did a 1:58 in my car at thill on slicks. So we all suck.

I was hoping you could factor in those details, Ry! 'cause I clicked off a 2.00.79 today w/my half assed setup (1:58 w/bypass yesterday) and I want to know if a sub 1:55 is possible on the full course w/slicks and a proper dialing in of the suspension (for instance, I think the last time I had my car aligned was in '05).

Gotta figure out where the biggest bang for my buck is next year if I want to tear into the sub 2s.

get an alignment more often to start.

My comment that you took personally was directed to ashish stating that a s2k w/ a stock sc will do 2:00. You doing a 2:00 on your setup is quite a feat. Those shocks suck

Didn't take it personally. Really. Just trying to figure out where I can gain (lose) time w/mods. I do wonder what times I'd pull w/o my SC. I know when I put it on it didn't affect my laptimes, but I was pretty green--and inconsistent--then.

I see firsthand every time I go out w/the ARC guys how many seconds you can easily shave w/more hp. I'm just not sure what the hp/laptime reduction ration is. I'm thinking at TH every 50hp is worth about a second on a 3000 lb car (inc. driver). Yeah?

Yeah its hard to say. I could take a wide open guess at it but there are just too many vars involved. I'd hope to get atleast a second w/ the SC.

I think you guys are guessing a bit low. Here are some data points:

On my Miata's I picked up about 10 sec with a full turbo kit. That was +120 at the wheels .

On the s2K, when I lightened it (200lbs), and figured out my custom exhaust was costing me 30hp I picked up 6 secs. My turn 1 speed to start with was 108, and went up to 118. Everything else on the car was the same.

So figure about 10 MPH at the end of the front straight is worth 6 seconds, or about 0.6 seconds per mph.

Nobody told me he is seeing 123 at the front straight. Lets assume I come out of 15 at 1 mph more just for fudge factor and call it 4 mph. (123-119) (Which is not likely on full tread Toyo's.)

4x.6=2.4 seconds. So my guess is 2.5 Seconds at Thunderhill (or more).
