Yeah, I drove through BW a couple years ago, on my only other S2K trip to CA. It made Barstow look nice. That's saying something!

And I've been through Rosamond many times while visiting Edwards AFB. For that matter, I guess I drove past Willows on the same day I drove through BW. Never noticed it from I5.

You guys can complain all you like, but at least you have all these choices. Our choices in tracks are rather limited, and development pressure keeps threatening to make them even more so. The downside to having a track in a nice place is that pretty soon people want to build houses there instead.

That is pretty much exactly the point. If you didn't know you needed to leave I-5 at that *one* exit you normally never would even blink as you drove by....

One given is that for all of my disparaging (and well deserved) comments about Willows I am quite honestly looking forward to my next visit down there so I can hit up that track again. It's more than worth the detraction of Willows.
