Does Mike wear the freaky hat under his helmet?
Is sunscreen a fire hazard?
No, the freaky hat he is referring to is: http://www.kavu.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?i...5&idproduct=161

As they say on that page, you'll only laugh until you try one out. It's awesome in anything except wind.

Hey Mike, I'll see you there then for the day with CFRA. First time for me at that track as well. Who are you going with?
I'm going as a guest of John Carpenter. He's part of a group of track addicts who loosely started by outgrowing the Puget Sound BMWCCA. In the past they have rented tracks and run private events. They also sometimes just go to other people's events, such as these two.

Details on the events can be found at the websites for the Shelby club and CFRA.

Maybe. That's the previous weekend, so I'm a little afraid of breaking something....

Well, it has the LS1 motor going in right now. Until recently, it has only had an M3 drivetrain. Still damn fast, though.

I'm sure I'll stop by. Even if I go do some Easter thing with the folks, PR is in the neighborhood.

Bassem are you going to be at the CFRA event at Infinion next Thursday? I'm bringing the S2000 for its maiden voyage...

Damn I wish I could go! But I'll be racing Sears next weekend w/ SCCA.

Good luck! What tires are you running? Let us know your times.

Since you aren't going, I am guessing dry ones?

Hi Bill,

Yup I'll be there, with the bimmer probably. I plan to take the S2000 back out once I burn through the tires on the M3 (if I don't sell them first ).

Mike -

I am most definitely jealous and wish I could go along. I have done that track on 3 occasions in Audis and am itching for a shot at it with the S2k. The straights on that track are fairly short, so you never really build up a head of steam that is hard on the brakes when you make it to the turns.

The only downside to THill is Willows - an amazingly boring turd of a town amidst the farmlands. The Golden Peasant (sic) would be hard pressed to win any awards in my book, but the alternative choices are sparse at best.

Sounds like a lot of fun - enjoy!
