Well I have some good news! It was my competition clutch that exploded that's why my car wasn't disengaging. So I replaced it with a ACT 6 puck unsprung version and it's doing much better. I also received a turbo today
I keep forgetting to update this thing, sorry I've been acting so slow on the turbo build I've honestly been having too much fun competing this year. For once the car has sustained up to a thrashing with minimum complaints. I've kinda been thinking that I should put this task on hold till this off season. That doesn't stop me from collecting parts though. The only thing I have left is the fabrication of intercooler piping, swirl pot for the radiator, and some brackets.
I've likewise decided to venture away from trying to keep this thing street able, I've recently obtained a Miata so that will serve as the street car/ backup track car. Other than that, here are some pics from this year...
Sheri is currently in Wisconsin getting end plates for the inter cooler, exhaust from the Downpipe back, intercooler piping, and brackets made for the V mount. Currently awaiting the arrival of CSF radiator and Turbo Smart Waste gate and BOV.
Just in case you guys haven't been following speed.academy the v mount set up works!.195-205 on track, everything else besides coolant though seems to be a problem.
Whoa! this thread is 4 years old. So much has happened since then. The best way that I can think of updating this thing is to go here and read up Speed Academy.
Getting ready for Ultimate Track Car Challenge in May, currently how the car sits below.
