That way you dont need to unnecessarily wear your expensive tires out and you have good traction in poor weather with the dd set
mate,
that’s exactly what I’m doing, you nailed it. Picked up these Ap2 wheels yesterday for $450. After I burn through these Hankooks (225/255) I’ll put a nice set of 200tw for track use. Then I’ll probably get something decent for dd, but I’ll just let Firestone mount something comfortable with lifetime road hazard. My town is notorious for tire damage, lot of roofing and construction year round.

Maths out to 100mm increase in contact patch

After a quick wash

Overall condition isn’t too bad, some curbing that I may/not have repaired. I might do it myself if I decide to paint them before I put new rubber on them.

That's a good deal. I paid $200 for a single front AP2V1 with way more curb rash. One of my fronts is cracked on multiple spokes and I'm unwilling to drive it until I can get a new wheel on. It's been a long wait for the wheel to arrive

Yeah, I'm pretty happy. Just need to see about getting the minor bend fixed but the tire is holding air fine and is in balance.
