Default Track clutch

Hey guys need to replace the clutch and was curious what you guys recommend for track use? Car has a comptech sc on it now but will prolly be coming off. Not looking to spend an arm and leg on a twin disk either but dont think its really necessary. Would appreciate any input you could give.

How tight is the competition you run with? For casual open track, and even moderate time attack, oem clutch is great since it saves shock to your diff. If tenths of a second matter to you, then consider upgrading the clamping force. I use an oem clutch with a light chromoly flywheel.

OP is boosted.

If you get an aftermarket clutch, be sure to keep an eye on your engine mounts. You'll want to get an engine torque damper and/or aftermarket mounts, as hard shifts from the harder grab will eventually break the OEM ones.

I assumed he would remove the sc the same time he got the clutch installed.

For a boosted car, I'm running a stock disc & ACT HD pressure plate. This will hold your boost and keep the system reliable. Tons of people are running this setup successfully This setup is inexpensive and will give you a firmer pedal.

I have the OEM disk with ACT pressure plate and a lightweight comptech flywheel, works great the car only makes 210HP though
