Default trans modifications

I have some trans problems so i am wondering if anyone builds a performance trans and if it is worth the cost. What is there to upgrading the trans?

www.wpctreatment.com -reduced friction, more power to the ground, stronger gears, longer life to synchros.

Thank Bill but the damage has already been done. I guess the question is if someone builds a track ready trans if so what are they doing and is it worth it?

there is this but for $6000 its a bit hard to justify when you can get a used trans for less than $1000

Straight-cut gears = TONS of transmission whine. Dog boxes are awesome but not that good for a street/daily driver.

I believe quaife has some racing internals for the S2K, but not 100% sure.

If you do rebuild the tranny, replace all the synchros, broken gears and hub sliders, and any other damaged parts. From there, you can hand-deburr the gears, or get them REM polished, after that WPC treated and it should be much stronger.

Thanks bill, trans is being taking out now and inspected. Most likely will rebuild it unless i find one already modified. Recomend better synchros or internals? It's a ap1 i here they have weaker synchros??? It has become very noisy and won't stay in reverse.
I'll scearch you out this week at the 24 hour's. I have thurs-sun off for the races. What garage #

I'm not sure about better synchros, but the previous advice would be good to try.

WPC treating just the new synchros might be the quickest, easiest, cheapest option to greatly improve the longevity and durability of your transmission's shift-ability.

Stop by and say hi. I'm still waiting to hear back what garage we are in.
