Default Trunk (with wing) swap for track day?

I wanted to get some opinions on possibly buying a junked trunk and putting a big wing on it for the occasional track day. I like the clean look of my car without a wing, so I really don't want to drill into it and add a wing. Ideally I'd like to take off my stock trunk and add the other wing/trunk setup for track duty.

Would there be any unforeseen issues with this setup? I know wings with a lot of downforce could potentially damage unreinfornced trunks, but would there be a risk of damaging the body as well? I could really care less if a disposable trunk gets dented, but I do want to protect the body of my car.

I'm a beginner/novice track driver just looking to get a little more grip and downforce in the corners.

Feedback and recommendations for wings would be appreciated.

I do that.. But I'm lazy so i don't swap even though it's two bolts haha. Just don't forget to plug in the trunk wiring! Unless you have a key for the second trunk.

Also put a towel down because it's hard to swap alone, or have a friend hold while you hook it up. As far as recommendation, i think an apr gtc 200 or 250 (don't remember) is all you need.

I did it for a few years. it's easy. 4 bolts. i marked my trunks with blue tape so i knew exactly where to align the mounts.

Thanks guys... next question. Can I buy a universal wing or do I need an S2000 specific fitment? I noticed there are different fitment versions of the APR wing and the universal fitment is actually one of the cheapest.

Would this work: http://www.ebay.com/itm/APR-GTC-200-...95df98&vxp=mtr

Or do I need this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/APR-GTC-200-...a9839d&vxp=mtr

The S2000 specific wing is $120 more.

call evasive....dont just buy it online...$800 shipped with risers was the price i got, and i got it super easy, like can you do 800...yuhp. the risers are $100. i can see the easily selling you the wing for $700 and the s2k fitment looks way better. also the trunk is stronger on the edges than the middle where the universal would mount.

that said i believe the universal and s2k wing itself are the same, the stand mounts are whats different.

p.s. i love mine

also what other supporting mods do you have? are you running square setup?

So the difference in the S2000 specific fitment is where is attaches to the trunk (at the edges instead of near the center)?

Its a different base that contours to the trunk properly.
Be sure to look into reinforcing the trunk (and the CR trunk stiffeners).
The trunk will deform.
