Default Tyres (or tires!)

I use 235 and 255 tyres on my NA S2k, running 250bhp. I was looking at using wider wheels and stepping up in tyre size, but where's the limit?

I see lots of talk about running 10" plus wheels but there has to be a balance of straight line resistance vs cornering grip benefit.

Discuss.

10" on a 255. If you're running a wheel smaller than 10" then you may see better benefit using a tire more suited to your rim. But 10" with a 255 is going to be the fastest setup if using 17" wheels.

And yes I will go on record saying that. Down here you won't go faster with any less. Can you come close? Sure - but even a tenth of a second is still faster.
