Guys looking into increasing contact patch and moving to 17x10 from 17x9 +63 (fenders are rolled and liners trimmed). As you all know the offsets are limiting.

I have seen some of you run SA72R with +55. Was looking at the Konig Hypergram (Miata Wheels) 17x10 +43. Ill be running 255 RC1 with -3.5F and -3.0R. Any one with experience running +43 on a 10 inch wheel?

I have made fender contact once, and it was during an extreme bump with the wheels turned so not a "typical" situation but still shows it can happen. I am on 17x9's with +63mm offsets with rolled front fenders. I cannot imagine running a 17x10 with LESS offset. Granted, this is lowered 1" but also running much stiffer springs than stock. But you get the idea.

So adding roughly 12 mm to the outside of the wheel, and knowing that +55s work with a 17x9 with 255's, I would say you still want a +63mm offset to maintain clearance. You results may vary depending on tire size as well. Also, watch for contact on the inside as well (control arm). May need to fidget a bit with camber settings to make sure that does not happen. Depending on ride height, camber etc I know of cases where someone contacted the control arm with 17x9's

Yes I have run 17x9 +63 on the track and no issues as I’m running 800/750 springs. +63 on a 17x10 wheel will not work as there will be issues in the inside with clearance if the struts/arms.

17x10 +55 is what some of the guys run here and the clearance is 5 mm less on the inside but it appears with the +43 it won’t be the clearance on the inside but more with the fenders.

Curious to see any real word experience on track cars?

Chibo has run the 17x10 +55 SA72R on his track car with minimal issues - it is full prep for TT4/5.

The +43 offset would require a lot of work, but if you don't really care about you fenders, it's workable. 17x10 +44 and +45 are the offsets for the CE28N, which is a commonly used s2k track wheel.

My caution with the Konig Hypergram is that it doesn't look like it offers much BBK clearance. I'm almost certain that you will not be able to fit an ST40 or C43 caliper under that wheel.

I'm running the 17x9.5 +47 SA72R - best of both worlds. Decent inner wheel well clearance, less fender work, and good overall fitment for a 255 tire - not pinched like a 9" wheel.

Just checking, but assuming you are not autocrossing it, or do not care about classing if so. Obviously the 17X10's are not allowed in STR, but even if you were autocrossing it some and switching wheels to a legal size, fenders can only be rolled, not pulled. So just noting that.

I think 17x10 +70 ; these are made specifically for s2k but rear only due to clearance issues on the inside.

The Wedsports are the easy button. I picked up a set of the 17x10 +55 last winter but haven't ran them, covid kind of put a damper on the amount of events I did this year.

+55 should be safeish on flat rolled fenders.

I'm currently running 17x9 +49 Wedsports with 245's, rolled flat fenders, relocated tab in rear.
-3.5 font camber using upper offset bushings, -2.5 camber rear
No issues this autox season and a handful of track events.

I run the 17x10 +50 Rotas with no issues. Usual roll and liner cut/tab relocation. Front actually has quite a bit of room for lower offsets with the delrin offset bushings for UCA. +50 or +45 on the rear is about the limit of rear offset IMO. Unless you're using SPC joints in the rear. If you're doing that then your more at risk of breaking the upper control arm, though.
