Those look barely used. I've run rotors that look WAY more heat checked than that. They really don't experience huge stresses under braking, it's more the thermal cooling on a cold day after the session. That's always when I've heard the loud CRACK and then you've got a fingernail catching crack.

I'm also a mechanical engineer fwiw.

Well on that note let's see if they survive VIR again in October I've still got some DTC60 material to burn off. These only have 2 weekends on them.

Saw a fellow S2000 owner lose 2 out of 5 sessions this Friday due to cracked rotors that he only noticed as he left for staging.
