Ron,
oh for sure I agree, whether or not it is an *actual* advantage to a particular individual is something that's going to be competely up to that individual. I was just trying to make sure that I got my point across that as far as the rules are concerned, it would be considered a potential advantage and would be most certainly protestable (lest someone try and claim it falls under often misquoted "comfort and convenience" clause).
personally I would indeed rather be able to use it (maybe I just sit so close that I dont feel it restricts my steering input), but I understand that a lot of people dont like to use shoulder harnesses for autocross... for that matter, Gary T doesnt even use an extra lap belt... go figure.

P.S. I'm thinking of doing the Bremerton tour again this year... but only if you can guarentee that the weather is going to be as nice this year as it was last year!

[B]Jason K,
I understand where you are coming from with not wanting others to do it since you don't, but I do find it interesting that you claim it to be a performance advantage.

Ah, it's Ray's wheels.....
Too bad you'll be in Whistler, though I can't blame you. I was up there a couple of weeks ago and though the snow level could have been a lot better, the weather was gorgeous!

I wouldn't protest a harness because the seats are bolstered so well in the S2000. However, a harness may be a safety issue in A Stock competition because the BMW Z3 has a lot more body lean, and in my opinion, has a finite chance of roll-over in a freak accident. Since the competition shouldn't use one for safety reasons, they may protest and it would be hard to convince them that the S2000 is 'roll-over immune'.(especially after they see me spin the car)
