So lastnight I picked up my g/f, and this weekend was a drag because it was cold and rainy so noone could come out and play. So lastnight I took all the backroads to avoid the main road's to avoid kids with their no hp exhaust and bov because the wife dont like racing. I cut threw a parking lot to hit a light to get me right on highway that would bring me to my apt. As soon as I cut the corner in the parking lot right smack in the middle is a hemi 300c with a loud azz exhaust and hid's the driver looking at my car like lunch, I said he's gonna pull right behind me and he did . Light turns green hit the highway and got on to my ramp the whole time on the ramp he's riding my azz flashing his bright azz lights really pissing me off. Then the words I have been waiting to hear dust him !!!!!!!! I come off the ramp it's like 1: highways dead 9K bang 3rd 9k hit 4th he ran past me like I was sitting still I was like shyt then I hit a hundred and he stoped pulling, then I started pulling not hard but steadily (praying he would'nt shut down) I passed him!!!! had a car for a good 20-30 seconds and I shut down at a 130 plus because my exit was coming up, he did a domestic flyby and I got off. My girl looking like she seen a ghost and me glowing . I was excited that was the best race I ever had in the S. All's I have to say is whoever says those hemi's are not fast , when he flew by me the exhaust rattled my damn windows. I was happy but I wonder if what I have always thought with my car was true. I think I have a factory freak my car is a 02 with 35, now but I bought with 21, I have just a k&n filter, but before the filter if it matters lol I raced a kid with a 04 i/e/tp claimed he dynoed 231 I spanked his car from a 35 roll by like a tractor trailer. So idk I may get a dyno just to see. I talked to my boy who owns a 01 he said the 300c race sounds bout right we will get them top end. idk want to know if anyone had similar experience with the hemi c?. Thanks for reading

 

I ran a Hemi Charger with an exhaust and I pulled a bumper from 20mph-80mph. Something is strange if he flies by you and then suddenly stops pulling...

 

I have a short race 1-2-3 about 85mph shut down. I was checkin out the car at the light reading Hemi and wondering how the S would do... Green light, He jumped off the line and had me by 1 car. It's called V8 grunt.... hee hee... yeah, those Hemi's do rock.. too bad the interior quality on most US cars still sucks big time!

 

I like how the Hemi Charger(not with the big stripes) and 300C look. I don't think it's the interior that's as bad as having 350hp with the "HEMI" and still not being able to pull on the measly 240hp I4's. It's a lot of hype for something that isn't really anything special.

If I could get one with an LSx I'd like it. Oh wait, just have to wait for the Camaro.

 

They really aren't that fast to be honest with you. I was just at the track on friday an Englishtown here in Jersey, and the night was MOPAR VS THE WORLD... and of course, most of the cars were the Hemi 300C's and Dodge Charger R/T's and they were doing low 14's to high 13's. It was rather shocking to me. But there were 2 Jeep SRT-8's that were doing mid-12's 1/4-mile... WOW... lol.
