i've raced against my friend's evo X GSR (since MR is in auto only) and another friend's 09 STI... all 3 of us being bone stock...

on a 40 roll, i beat my friend in the evo by a car, and STI by a car and half...
the reason the STI lost worst was gear ratio... at 40mph, he was already redlining on second gear, but poo on 3rd...

This is the correct outcome. Evo X's are slightly slower than 8's from a roll and 8's are total turds. Mine felt like a pig prior to a tune just like X's. As for the STi, he should start in 3rd since they need 3 shifts to break 60 which is why their 0-60 is comparable to a Evo.

EDIT: By the looks of the video he probably had just a turbo back. That's what my friends car did to me but x2 when he had a Turbo Back and Cobb garbage. Around 270'ish to the wheels.

It does not take to much to make STIs fast. A I/dp/up/e and just a simple a Cobb tune will add 80-100 whp to a stock STI.

Yes with a Turbo Back and the Cobb junk which = stage 2 in STi world he pulled a good 4 car lengths on me from a 40 roll up to around 100. Stock we would be dead even, with just a turbo back prior to the Cobb AP the result was like yours.

If that guy actually knew what he was doing he would have gotten protuned and been over 300WHP.

yeah just a catted turbo back exhaust and cold air intake and custom tune my 05 STi gained 65whp and 90wtq (220whp stock and 285/320 after) on 91 oct.

an n/a s2000 that's not modded through the roof would get destroyed by the subaru in a hurry

and since the Evos were brought in discussion, my bolt-on and tuned Evo 9 with 330whp didnt have trouble with most bolt-on FI kit s2000's either (ran 2 or 3 that were SC'ed, unsure what kits though)

i'm aware that FI'ed s2000s can get insane, just never had the honor of runnin into one...yet

when I had my 07 STI I dyno'ed at 304 whp, i/dp/up/intake and fp no problem takin any bolt on s2, evo 9's were a diff story, with all the same mods evo's where spankin any sti mod for mod. I ran one s2k with GT35R and he put bus lengths on me no prob gave him the 's up.
