I've seen that video...was that SRT silver??? guy seemed like a ricer..

These cars are finicky...If you up the boost too much they will pull timing and youll feel faster but actually are moving slower..Not all cars are same, mine took up to 18 lbs before it pulled timing, I've seen others run lean on 17 lbs...

I see many guys running 18+ lbs with no mention of a map clamp to hide the boost from the PCM to prevent timing from being pulled...these are the guys that people run into and beat on pretty bad...Then you have others that know what they are doing, running less boost that end up walking said car that just beat ricer in the previous SRT...

FYI: There are plenty of stock turbo guys in the 12's with bolt ons, with 110+ traps

I'm no expert on the car, but you have to understand a lot of teenagers get this car and have no clue what they are doing, running 14's at the track, running the car with VAST amounts of boost leaks...

Boost leaks rob ALOT of HP
Yeah, it's probably the one your thinking about. I've been friends with that guy for a while. He did use to always pop up later, after a race and say yeah guys I had a blah blah blah leak, and was only holding 14 psi to redline, not 17 like I should have. Or whatever along those lines.

Which is what it would have to be for a 14 flat second G35 to hang on the ass of an SRT-4 with like 8-10 mods, and then even start coming back and pulling at higher speeds.

The thing that use to piss me off, is when we would ride out, I would ask him....How's the car running tonight, etc.. And he would respond with awesome, I fixed that leak. He was aware of the leaks and what not, because he was having some problems before, and blamed a loss to another SRT-4 on the fact that his car wasn't running 100%. He tried to do the same thing like 3 weeks later when he raced my buddies Evo 8, and got stomped from a roll. But again before the race he would say the same shit about his car was running perfect blah blah.. Then after make up some excuse. He must've had his car tuned by 2-3 good tuners from what I understand, and yet still would use the excuses about boost tapering off. It got to the point where everyone was like shut up, are you here to race.. then run what you brung!

Oh, and yes I know SRT-4's are in the mid 12's with a stock turbo. But my car is in the high 11's with my stock turbo also. So that statement doesn't really impress me all that much. With 3 mods my car was running 12.1's...

I didnt say it to impress you but give you an idea of what those little cars can do without a turbo upgrade..(keep in mind your 11's is probably making the same power as the 12's srt and pulling similar traps...you probably just have traction to cut better 60's)

And no offense but your bud sounds like a ricer making all those excuses....If you lose, its a loss..

11.7@116 with 1.7 60ft's.

The 12.1's and 12.2's I was trapping 111-112mph. 3" turboback, reflash, and a drop in intake. I also had a nice clutch kit at the time, so 4 mods. My b. Only 3 power makers though.

I love it. People are arguing about a POS Chrysler product. I don't care if the car was made out of solid gold and has every available mod in the world. It still amounts to polishing a turd. Look up dodge in the dictionary. It means " to avoid".

I wouldn't buy one, but for cheap speed it can't be beat! Although, i would love to see the percentage of the cars that are still running and haven't been totaled out by their owners

I'm not a brand loyalist...I'm a car enthusiast...you should try it sometime...
