Oh, the daily driven thing, well, that's a tricky one. I'd say that the Moderate STi is where that ends, but there are a hell of a lot of GT30R STi's that are daily driven, so your guess is as good as mine. I think the 20G is the perfect turbo for a DD, but many people consider the Green as such (400-450 whp).

Well i have come across several vids of FI s2K's, daily driven (street tires) Stock internals running in the 10's range. That should be equivalent to the "mid" STI. Not bashing, but give FI s2k's some credit.
I am an STI fan! I really would take an STI over an EVO anyday.

FI s2k's can be really serious, just search around =)

An FI s2k can reach the 450-500 mark with no problem (stock internals) Pretty damn impressive if you ask me....

^ exactly and unlike the sti evos and 350zs the internals can handle it without dumping thoursands into pistons-rods etc.

And everyone seems to be talking about 1/4 mile times.
Who cares about that. If we were talking 1/4 times I could buy a ragged out 84 mustang and drop 30,00 into the motor and be 2-4 seconds faster then an sti. Same dollars right???

lets hit the twisties where I can stay spooled over 5k rpms in every corner and see where those sti 4 door lead sleds end up.

380whp on pump gas, 470whp on c16.

90 hp just by changing the gas and tune. I doubt it.

This all reminds me of every sportbike I've ever owned. The first thing most people ask is "how fast does it go?" and "what will it do the 1/4 mile in?" Both stupid questions when considering its a machine designed to go around corners at a high rate of speed, not just in a straight line. Sort of fitting for the S2k too.
