I like the 18"s and don't really find them that "heavy", remember those fastening bolts are Titanium! I do find that they are prone to scuffs if you even get remotely close to a curb so you have to be extra careful. I was at first concerned with the ride quality with those wheels and the 030 suspension, but after driving the car I find that it is actually a very nice combination, not as jittery on bumpy roads as 17"s with a standard suspension which was a pleasant surprise. I have some friends that like the Turbo look wheels better than the GT3 look, but I like the GT3 better, also much less common, although harder to clean. Why the Germans can't make a dust-free brake pad is beyond me...

Did you order any particular options on the 360 Spider? Scuds? We are having a lively conversation on the Ferrari message board about 360's on the track, you might find it useful.

Well of course they can make low or no dust brake pads. But they don't cuz their laws require that brake pads contain some amount of graphite or similar. Pads are easy to swap out if that is a concern. Over in Europe, brake dust and sqeal are often not considered to be as much of an issue (to the owners) as they are in America.

I've always liked the Scuderia emblems on black for some reason, red isn't too bad and would never do it on fly yellow. A friend of mine just got a fly yellow 360 (not a spider) and he got the scuderia emblems and I really didn't care for them in that color combo. He did get the yellow seat piping which I thought was done rather well and is similar to my Boxster S with the yellow seat and door panel stitching. I know what you mean about the electric seats, but the solution there is to not let the beloved family member drive it. BTW, were you able to get a deal on the 360 from your dealer or were they charging MSRP or over MSRP? Most dealers in the U.S. want a premium for the 360 Spider, in California as much as $100,000 over sticker. Some guys in the Ferrari club have been ordering theirs from European dealers and having them shipped over.

I agree the GT3 wheels are better looking IMO. As for getting a set of Turbo Looks for the winter, I tend not to drive the car hardly at all in the winter so it doesn't warrant a different set of wheels/tires, although I have thought about another set for track use. I've really noticed that since the weather has gotten colder that my Pirellis are much stiffer and much more likely to spin.

Ken you seem to win every race you are ever in. I went back through your past threads and found claims to lsi camaros, cobra mustangs, modded 300 tt. all cars a stock boxster would have trouble winning and yet you always win. Must be nice to never lose a race. I would love to race you but remember you refused to race me because I have modified my car and then stated you would only race me when i removed my exhaust and other mods. No wonder you never lose. Keep racing those civics and miata's and other turd cars to pad your record.Do you roll down the window before a race and ask whats mods you have and decide weather to race at that point. I'll race you anytime as long as there is cash on the line and a non-biased witness(not your or my girlfriend) to verify when I win.
As they say back in high school i just called you out. Both our cars are yellow but are you yellow

Well it's pretty easy for people who trash talk to call people out after they mod their cars. I stand by my statement, either I get the same mods you get and we race, or you take your car back to stock like mine is and we race if you want to compare cars. If you want to compare drivers then we either run a track at HPT in the same car and compare times and/or run KCIR in the same car and compare times. Besides, I thought you were selling your car, how are you going to race me then?

Why haven't I lost a race? I guess I haven't picked on a car faster than me, or been picked on by someone faster. Anyone who has challenged me has lost and I guess I've only gone after 1 car for grins and ended up winning when I actually thought I would lose.

BTW, I don't need my girlfriend for a witness, your girlfriend has already stated that you weren't playing as hard as I was in last week's football game, you should be happy that I was on your team and carried you to victory. Shall I share your running skillz with everyone?

Enjoy!

oops I am sorry about the turd reference. I have nothing against the cars in question, Just used them as an example of cars when stock are easy to win in a race. And yes I am aware of how fast they can be when modded
