ugh....agreed. btw, not sure who mentyioned the Z06 but...a Z06 is a street-legal race car if there ever was one, and it will handily DESTROY an S2000 in any venue you can name. some mustangs will do the same. this stupid anti-domestic prejudice belongs at clubsi.com.

 

I have to correct elanderholm about the Z06's brakes...the Ferrari 360 Modena still has the best factory brakes in the world.

 

Come on...it depends on who tests it. It is so close it isn't even worth arguing about it. Motor Trend just got 106ft 60-0. If a modena 360 has gotten better then that...it is probably by like 2 ft or something. Road and Track got 110 ft for the 360 modena....either way...to close to call. Braking also has a lot to do with the tires on the car. My point is that the Z06 is World Class in all possible ways to judge performance.

Just doing a few searches shows the Z06 getting better braking distances sometimes and the 360 Modena getting better sometimes, but neither is ever braking shorter then 3-7 ft over each other. That is really close.

 

I belive a 993 GT2 road version can stop in a shorter distance than a F 360 and Z06.same 993 Turbo brakes but on a est 2950 Lbs body!!

 

The GT2 is a beast, put it in the any forum against jsut about any car (except possibly a mclaren, diablo vt 6.0, or a zonda C12 S (forgot that one didn't you all)) and it will wipe them handly in everything. New Viper, Z06, any of them. The braking comment may be incorrect though, I'd have to pull out the road test I just read, but any car that for half the price of a lambo outperforms it, and has the sophistication of a porsche (lambos are NOT sophisticated), while competing well with the Mclaren, is a king among cars, possibly the best car ever made???
