Yea, maybe so... That thing did move. Let me recap the whole situation... Silver typeS, exuast looks stock, but windows were tinted. He punched it around 80 before we raced and it did seem to jump nicely. This caught my attention so I gave chase (not really trying to race at first, just testing) with a fourth gear around 80-100 mph run and didn't I didn't gain AT ALL. He didn't pull any distance either so I thought a third gear would stomp him. Well we got into traffic and I was right behind him in third gear. Around 65-70 I tried to guess when traffic would open up and he would take off, hopefully minimizing the initial jump. I guessed very well and pulled a bit on his bumper till ~85-90 (maybe 1 car) but had to slam on the brakes as we were coming on traffic quickly. Last was the race I initally posted about. It was a little while after the last race due to traffic but when it opened up again it was on! I wasn't as aggressive as the race before and he got the inital jump. I remember putting it in third gear and watching him take off. 3rd gear at ~80 mph all the way to redline in 4th. Around 105-110mph I started to pull on him. But from 85-105 there was no change in distance at all. I guess it wasn't too bad because he got the initial jump and never increased the lead, but you know how we, as s2000 owers, want the race to turn out . I backed off due to my exit coming up, flashed the highbeams a couple of times and got off the highway. I may just be getting used to my car and had an encounter with a car that runs pretty well on the highway. When I turned over 600 miles, I pulled on my friend's 99 Mutang GT from 80-120 (the same situation) more than I pulled on this car... And the Mustang had MODS! Thats what led me to think that there was something wrong with my car... BTW how much does a Type S dyno typically?

I don't know if that type-s was stock then. I raced a friend's in my '99 mustang GT which is pretty stock from 70 - 100, passed him from behind and gained maybe 2 cars by the time it was finished.

The CL-S comes with 260HP at the crank. Runs the 1/4 in 15.0,
0-60 in 6.7sec.(Road & Track). The 1/4 mile run seems wrong,I
think it runs better than that!!

I ran a CL Type S when I had my Prelude. From a 60 MPH role to about 110, I pulled 1/2 car. You should be puting a few lengths on him...

I checked my oil.... 1/2 quart low, and I reset my computer the other day. Seemed to make a big difference. The car now pulls hard to redline in second instead of just lumbering up there. Thanks for the info!

Did you fill up that missing 1/2 quart oil or did you ONLY reset the computer to achieve the "big difference" you just mentioned?
