did you buy yours new?
if new, you need to break it in for the first 1000 km (no vtec!!).
if you bought it used, i don't know what to say....
you'd have to get someone that owns one to drive it and compare to theirs.
fyi, i've driven many, and they ALL have specific v-tec engagement points.

no I bought it used...
I had a prelude 93 srv and the vtec ran nice and loud the whole way through.
It just seems to sometimes cut out a little, and sometimes it just feels super strong.
its weird!
I think your right I need to take someone elses for a boot.

DDooohh. I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier. I'm just used to the fuse thing cause it's easy. All you have to do is dissconect your battery for about 5 mins. That will reset the ECU for sure. However if you have a stock deck your gonna have to have the code handy.
