a lady friend and i were just driving around looking for races and after a couple of hours we roll by this flat black almost geo looking car with a relatively small exhaust. we are both making fun of this thing and as we just drive by at the speed limit he punches it for maybe a couple thousand rpms and as he lets off we hear what we think is a blow off valve. we are still chuckling to ourselves as we wait for traffic to clear and we finally line it up.

he honks it off as we roll out, my car in 2nd at 35ish mph. (she is driving) we pull maybe a car length and then she misses third, he blows by but realizes what happened and slows down to line it up again. same speed and gear we punch it again and the colt (didn't know what it was at the time) just pulls and pulls, then shuts it down when he was about 4-5 car lengths ahead of my car.

at this point i am going nuts cause this thing is just f-ing crazy. i absolutely love sleepers of any sort. we pull into a gas station to talk and he goes by without pulling in. we sit there for a minute waiting and switching drivers and then he pulls in. i find out its a dodge colt (which weigh nearly nothing) with a turbo 4g63 engine. it was a guy i met at a car meet awhile ago when he had a different car, so he knew all about my car. i told him we were switching drivers because she didn't know my car to well and i wanted to see what my car would do with me driving.

we head out once more, this time we go from a dig. i honk it off and since i am on my factory diff i take a long time to get out of the hole. i hit every gear perfectly with him ahead of me by about 4 car lengths all the way to about 100mph. i gave him his props because damn that thing was nuts and very well deserved it. i seriously can't believe how fast that car is. just amazing.

 

I remember they made a Colt turbo for a while and it was a neat little sleeper like the Dodge Omni turbo they made. There was an Omni in Gainesville a couple years back that looked like a turd but ran low 13's all day long.

 

haha that omi in gainesville was my good friend chris that thing was a sleeper for sure... now he has a dodge shadow that makes like 400hp

 

I alwayls love cars like that...I have a friend with a beat up POS looking Pinto that is basically a race car...big block with 2 stage nitrous and runs 9's all day.

 

Nice. Gotta love the 4g63 engine!! Things a beast.

 

I'm pretty sure that neither the Colt nor the Omni shared the 4G63T in stock form.

 

He did this to you and you're running 455 whp @ 15 psi? DAMN!!!!

 

car was def not stock, took a look under the hood and there she was. the 4g63 with a nice little snail on it.

and yes he did this to me, but i was running 13psi because of the hot ambient temp, but thats no excuse, this colt was f-ing rediculous
