ok, as of right now he has: "tbe, intake, fmic, icp, bov, ported exhaust manifold. and some other secret stuff" running 22psi, but is able to run 24psi. He's got a flashed ecu, not custom tuned. He's about to install: "meth injection kit, jun 272 race cams, ported throttle body and ported intake manifold, full hks ingnition system, and some other goodies." with that stuff he says he'll be around 440whp... and then in the spring he'll get a turbo kit, with about 550+whp.

He's getting about 12.3@113 with a crappy 60 ft of 1.8....

Looks like a stock S/C kit might not cut it
There is no way on earth he will make 440 AWHP on the stock turbo, not even a 9 turbo or a 20G will do it....

And the ported exhaust manifold thing is garbage too.... I tried it on my evo and gained nothing!!!!

The Jun 272's are also overkill on the stock turbo....something like the HKS 280s, comp 280s, GSC 280's are more reasonable...

Yeah a S/C isnt going to do the work. Your going to need some more goodies. and there is no way that the evo will get 400+ whp on stock turbo. I agree with 05YellowEVO8

cool cool, im just quoting what he told me... interesting... but even if he wasnt making that much power... what type of horsepower would i have to be making to stay with him say from a 55 mph run?

if he's getting a trap speed 113... I'm not going to race him from a dig... just some fun highway runs

I wanted to add that a full body, full interior EVO must weigh around 3200-3300 pounds or so w/o driver.... then add the weight of the driver plus the 2 adults and you have one heavy car to move.

Isnt the S2K like 2900 pounds or something w/o driver?

^^you're right, and i wanted to add that he will not hit 440whp with the td05-16g. From what was listed his biggest power adder would be the methanol injection and cams, without a good tune, he's far from 400whp.
