I believe what they are all trying to say is that the metal used in the Mustang has a high tendency to rust(rrriiiggghhhttt)...

Underdog I think they are just having some fun with you. Most of the people on this board are enthusiasts except for a few that are way over their head with the S2000. If they don't think much of a Mustang, they won't bother racing it in the first place.

I've leased a '99 mustang GT for the last 3 years. I mostly did major suspension work since I hated the original handling, but let me tell you after these 3 years I will not consider buying another mustang for the duration of my life. I will not even consider buying ANY domestic. The poor build quality was just too much to overcome...and after only 3 years i'd expect it to be holding up much better than it has been. I've reached the point now where I have not cleaned the interior or exterior of my car this entire semester...since early august actually. My appreciation for mustangs has been completely drowned and it's ironic that it was my own mustang, that I enjoyed so much back in the beginning, that caused this. Needless to say, my '02 silver/blk is on order and should be arriving at the dealer in 3 weeks. This has only been fueling my enormous desire to finally be rid of my stang. I guess the point of this is, i'm a damn mustang owner myself and i'll chime in whenever this car is being bashed simply because I feel they did such a bad job with this car at every stage of the production process that it deserves no public praising or positive advertisement. This is just the way I feel being a very disgruntled owner....can't wait for the s2k to come, and i'm glad I learned my lesson about domestics and mustangs this early in life.

p.s. rustang

How can you sit in an interior where everything is grey-ish plastic, all the vents are HUGE circular monsters, the shifter is HUGE, the seating provides no support....etc etc etc

Are you implying that you can't be an auto enthusiast if you don't care for rustangs?

I just don't like the people that can say they hate domestics. How can you hate all domestics. If you don't like a car, that's fine, but you hate all domestics?????

Come on...

Um no, but after rereading my post it does come across meaning like that.
