Default Finally a good race

Finally got a good race today. Was a 00-02 SS camaro with ground effects and ram air hood. Had aftermarket exhaust, sounded pretty good actually. We went from about 40-50 mph I threw it in second and by the top of third he had pulled about a fender on me. Then we stopped at a light and I was behind him due to traffic. He rolled out of the light easy , giving me a chance I guess lol, then nailed it, I was in second again I stayed on his tail through second and into third then he lifted. No idea what it had done to it other than exhaust, if anything.

sounds good, I would have thought the second time since he probably hit it first that he would have pulled alittle harder, but nice runs

If these recent threads about S2k's beating/hanging with LS1 cars are to be believed, then the S2k is certainly a surprising vehicle. So little credit is given to this torqueless wonder.

I was thinking the same thing. What is up with all these threads lately. It's like Honda had a recall and added about 40hp to them

An LS1 GTO is somewhat believable, but I have to raise an eyebrow at the lighter F-body "kills."

not directly related to your post:

i have an on going theory that s2k get stronger with age. for example, my s2k baseline at 197rwhp @27k miles. on the same dyno my buddie with a bone stock 01 with 71k make 205whp. we know that NSXs get stronger with age, and i think that the s2k is going to be the same way.

Interesting... That makes me not feel so bad about putting 11k miles on my car in the 6 months I've had it.

It had started as an '01 with 30k on it, so I felt guilty. Now I can claim it as an upgrade!
