So last night i was heading out to go chill with some friends. Stopped at a country gas station in the middle of no where and this pretty nice 240sx pulls up next to me(turbo). I saw the guys get out of the car and i sorta recognized them, i think i went to HS with them? i think they graduated 2 years before me. idk. But anyway, the passanger asks if i had anything done to my car? I told him just an intake, headers, TP, cat backs, and a tune. He looked at his friend(driver) and asked if i wanted to go line em up....well before i did that i made them wait while i got my necessitys from the gas station.
So to cut my story short, we get out on this brandnew black top road, im in from in 2nd keeping my car in vtec so when we do go ill be ready. Well and he didnt line up next to me? shifted to 3rd, still waiting, still in vtec. Then all of a suddon he mashes on the gas and goes past me. WELL, thats no fun, so i drop back into 2nd trying to catch the guy. Well needless to say im going around 120 then up to 140 and ive reeled him in and next to him, i ask to line em up at at least a 40 roll and he didnt say anything. Idk if it was becasue i caught him or what, idk, its my first (sorta) race and from what i saw i caught him pretty quick....maybe he was sandbaggin to....felt good though to catch him, and pull (a little lol)...
but yea then i breaked and turned around and the passanger gave me the thumbs up and i guess we were cool.?
Then met back up with my friends and they tell me that our cars were so loud that they herd it in town while we were at least a mile out of town... it was a good night.

good, i was watching youtube vids of 240 and s2ks racing, seems like it would be a good race, but idk. like i said ive never raced anything worth racing, like a 240sx hah

 

guessing it was an sr20

 

it was an s14. I just googled it, and the s14 looks identicle to the one i raced.

 

sr20 is a turbocharged engine that a lot of 240 owners swap into their cars

 

its possible. i just know it looks exactaly like the s14...and it was turbo'd soo

 

120-140mph "street races" are a big NO NO, please keep though speeds on the track, I'd hate to see another wrecked S with brain matter over it...

 

^^ yes, i relize that im usually always the one on the sideline watching the race, and to be honest i like that way more. But like i said this is my first and hopefully one of my last races ill ever do. The main reason for racing was to try it, and it was a flop of a race, and rather stupid. I mean there was that feeling of excitment that i can see why people like racing, and dont get me wrong i was totally amped up after that but at that speed it was quit scary and i am very thankfull that nothing went wrong. Otherwise i wouldnt of posted this thred.
