Default First Time at the Drag Strip

Finally got around to taking my S to the track, it's my00 with k&n FIPK and a testpipe. I am somewhat disappointed, however, most cars ran a bit on the slow side. Managed to pull off a 14.1.

R/T .775
60' 2.269
1/8 9.194
MPH 78.52
1/4 14.157
MPH 99.63

The highest trap of the night was 100.6mph. It was a bit on the hot side and but I still spun pretty good with my yokohama es100's so the 60' could definately use some work.

Improve your 60' time to 2.0 and you'll be at 13.7 to 13.8 for sure!

dont feel bad at all!! my first time in the S at the track, the best i could manage was a 14.6 HORRIBLE (bone stock) i was just way to paranoid about braking something, i hate launching the car ... plus the s2000 is alot harder to lauch then my friends evo (i pulled a 13.0@104 in that thing) and my 02 civic si (13.1@110)

good job!

That's far better than most manage on their first time. Good job. All you need to do is work on getting a better launch. If you're pulling 14.1 with that 2.2 60' that tells me that your shifting is good. If you can continue to shift just as fast as you are, but pull a 2.10 or lower 60' (which is entirely possible with this car) then you're going to break into the 13s no problem.

My best ET after going to the strip 3 different times in my car was a 14.07. Best 60' was a 2.04 but I missed a gear after that launch so my overall ET wasn't good.

^very true

our elevation sucks our track is 6000ft above sea level

so my best time has been 15.036 stock which is not a bad time for this elevation
