^lol, nah could've just been an asshole F-body driver...apparently lots of em around, makes me sad, since I got love for the Fbody. Maybe he's just running his mouth?

OR hes running one of those Electric supercharger!! + doesnt know how to drive/downshift.

When I was in my SS, I raced my ex gf when she was in her lude...45-70~ish, she was auto so just floor, but I figured I'd have so much more power than her, just leave it in 4th....she got a HUGE jump on me, before I eventually caught up >_<

I don't know what happened. He could have been running one of those electric superchargers which give you a net loss of 3% minimum. The whine that I heard could have been from something else, and he could have not downshifted. I don't know what happened round 2 though, Maybe he missed 2nd? All I know is that I told the truth completely. Showing up in a new place and lying about stuff that doesn't seem plausible is a good way to make friends though.

All in all, a win is a win when it comes to street racing. He obviously wasn't racing in the LeMans or some race track where there are rules and such. For example, I stayed with a Mazda RX-7 with an LS1 swap and I stayed with him until near the end of third gear (before switching to 4th) that's when his top end started to kick in. And I only have Buddy club spec III exhaust, modded airbox+snorkel+ KN filter.

My next race was a stage 2 or 3 Cobalt SS. Someone had told me that his SS is fast because of his stage 2 or 3 damn can't remember which stage it was. All I know is that his shit wasn't stock otherwise I would have killed him. Anyhow same result as the LS1 RX-7 previously.

Both races were from a 50 mph roll up until 110+ and also, I had a 200+ pound fat dude in my passenger seat. Lol. No offense but he is heavy. He just wanted to see what a lightly modded s2k would do up against some of the supercharger/TC and v8's. He was sooooo impressed that now he's going to get an S2K. I told him not to get the 04 and newer because he'll be losing that 9k RPM. 9k rpm helps a lot. Less shifting= more speed.

Jesus. I didn't know a bolt on S2000 could destroy supercharged trans ams and LS1 RX-7s...

For my next project, I'll buy a Chevelle 454 SS and swap a bolt on F20c in it. Should make it a solid 10 second car.

LOL...don't sweat it. Anything can happen on the street. But it's good to hear from others about what is normal and what's unusual.
