Default me-vs- WRX wagon

Well I'm driving down the road fresh from my 115mph romp up Weber Canyon and I come to a stoplight behind a WRX wagon. I was in a somewhat playful mood so I figured if I was given the chance I'd see if it wanted to play. Well apparently the WRX driver thought the same thing about my slow little Honda and the second she had an opportunity she pulled into the other lane.

I gently accelerate up to match her side by side and look over to see if she's ready to go...nothing. She doesn't look over or anything, just keeps her speed. I give her a little honk and the same result..nothing. So I decide to just screw it and accelerate up a little farther. By now I'm about a car's length ahead crusing along at 65 in 6th. I'm minding my own business when I hear her punch it and see her pull up immediately next to me...it's on. She goes and I double it down to 3rd. Well, needless to say that was the closest she ever got to me. By the end of 3rd I had a good car and a half length on her and by 110 in 4th I would estimate I was a healthy 6 cars ahead. I honestly thought she wasn't really racing. Light comes up and it's my turn so I hop into the turning lane. She pulls up next to me (my top was down), looks at me and says "If it was a real race I would have beat your ass." I look over at her laughing and say "You were racing, I thought you had slammed on the brakes I was so far ahead." She gives me the finger, rolls up her window and we part ways.

Now granted if it would have been from a stop she would have easily gotten the launch but it wasn't from a stop and I whipped her ass by a good 6 car lengths....next time I hope she knows what she's up against

Ya......most the WRX drivers I've had to deal with, all ended up in the rear view mirror. They're definitely equipped with attitude...........poor losers.

That's interesting, why would you buy a WRX wagon no less and then think that it is used for racing? Maybe she was late to pick up the kids at soccer practice
