Was on my way home the other day on the 5 north and a wrx wagon pulled up next to me, he started blowing off so i dropped the mother into 4th going about 80ish and left him behind....was wonder how fast those things are.....was he trying or not?

 

it depends if he was stock or not....
a wrx wagon is similar to a sedan so a stock S should be able to pull away from either one...

however i'd be cautious, i know a very sleeper wagon out here that has about stage 3 and a VF34 turbo that would pull away from a lot of unexpecting cars...

 

one of my good friends has a bugeye wrx wagon (stage 2)

he pulls me so hard (im stock) from a stop/slow roll, but up top (90+) i reel im in pretty bad.....

once they hit 4th they're nothin special, its 1st and 2nd where they shine

 

if he was trying and you beat him, chances are he was pretty stock. then again he was probably stock since he was kind of initiating the race by letting you hear his blow valve. but maybe he was doing that as well to lure you so that he can see what your car is capable of.
