Modified GTI VR6
It was a modified GTI VR6, very nice looking, very clean, silver exterior and all clear lights around, lowered with 18" wheels. Very loud. I see this car once in a while on my way to work/back home. Every time we got stuck in traffic. Tonight, there was no traffic, and we finally got to run.
I lost 0.5 length. Raced from 30-65.
I started in 2nd. (I was initially doing 40mph in 2nd, but then I had to slow down a bit to pace the guy, when he gunned it, we were doing 30mph
) He got a 1.25 carlength jump on me. I was slowly catching up, right after I shifted to 3rd, he shut down. Anyways, I lost. I guess it must be nice to have that 195ft-lbs (stock) @ 3200 RPM.

Good race!
He must have been pretty well modded, or you were really out of the ideal RPM. My buddy's VR6 Jetta gets just annihilated every time we race, not even fun, really
It's a pretty quick car, but no way can it hope to keep up.

Yeah, I should have started in 1st. He gained all that 1.25 carlength real quick (BTW, he gunned it first), until I hit ~45mph and I started to gain back some. It was cool, but it would be nice if he didnt shut down so early. I guess he saw me catching up so he ended the race early and be a winner.
I really liked his car, nicely done with very nice body kit. Wanted to stop and talk to him but he turned right.

Damn, racing from 30-65 is a quick one. You've got to figure he was going to shut it down as soon as he heard you overtaking. Either that or he's the world's first "cognizant of the speed limit" street racer 
I've seen some very nicely done VW's though, especially the 1.8T's. I think Volkswagon is really going to up the ante in the compact rocket wars very soon but we'll see. Aside from all that, we'll let you get away with this one but anymore of these diddly 30-65 sprints and you might as well race one of these.
