THX. I am a sponge and when I adopt a hobby I throw myself into it 110%. I did it back when I used to target shoot, when I used to fight, and I still do it in the gym, although not like I should. Hell, after I got into sports cars I cannot afford any other hobbies except my free college gym, lol

Only drag racing event I have participated in thus far is at Qualcomm Stadium. An organization called RaceLegal.com holds 1/8 mile events there. As a matter of fact, there is one tonight but I won't be going.

you have near the same power to weight as a C5 Z06, assuming 2700 lbs... 325whp compared to their 370whp. they are capable of 7's and running high 11's stock.. most average mid 12's

still good for high 7's in the 1/8 tho

witha good launch, if you can launch at full potential you'll be mid 7's in the 1/8. just dont break anything and u'll cut a wicked quick 60' and run a nice 1/8

You can get your car to run mid 7's but it's going to take a hell of a 60 ft. I'm talking in the 1.5 low 1.6 range.

To do that, you're going to need a diff, gearing (at least 4.56's) a good clutch, and lets not forget, a sticky track as well as a little nitrous, not for the top end power, but for the low end torque to get out of the hole.

Remember, in the 1/8th, it's all about the 60ft. Even if you get a 1.6 ft time, you'll have to be running around 91 mph in the 1/8.

I hope you do it, it'll be fun to watch an S2000 outlaunch all the AWD's!

I already have a 4.57-R FD, Comptech flywheel, and an ACT PP. Regarding the diff, I have the Comptech reinforced diff but we all know that won't cut the mustard. I do plan on upgrading to the R200 diff though. As far as me out-launching EVOs and the like that won't happen until I have the R200 diff, because until then my launch RPMs are going to be lower and I am not going to be coming out of the hole as fast as them. I do, however, intend on beating most of them down the track.

Thanks bro!

I haven't been to the Q in a while either. Hopefully I will make it out there sometime in March.

THX. I just like sports cars and am pretty honest about their strong and weak points. The S2K? It doesnt have enough clutch to do shit without replacing it. My WS6? The solid rear axle isnt worth a damn on uneven pavement without an aftermarket pan-hard/tq arm setup. I just call it like I see it. HOWEVER!

I get tired of domestic owners calling the imports slow. Hell, there is an NA S2K rolling around these forums running mid 13's@105 on a babied 60'. NA with minor mods.

I also get tired of import owners calling domestics "unreliable". I have seen on just PAGE ONE! of this forums "under the hood" section all about blown trannies, engine fires, tapping valves, ect. Where as my friend's 98 A4 tranny Z28 just ripped off a 13.3@105 with 113K miles on it and no tune-up and ran great until he killed it on the spray...running low 10's. PLENTY! of LS1 owners JUST DID! a cam swap at 120K miles...how did it turn out? One guy has 140K on his cam-swap now and is just fine.

I think both groups are full of crap sometimes.

me? I just like most tasteful sports cars that have something unique to offer.
