He is dead set on the S2K. Unless this thread deters his spirit. Before he was going to drop a K20A in his 97 hatch which sounded like a much better idea in my opinion. But he has since given it up and let go of the motor.

If he is stubborn enough to go through with it, you can bet that it will be a well documented event.

^ No worries, I'll come back to this forum for an update if/when he gets it. For now I was in dire need of peace of mind so I can sit back and relax while he is going off about what he's going to do to his S2K to beat the Z06 LMAO. =)

Honestly, I haven't talked to him since our spat about the race. I think he is a bit peeved at me.

Lets just say this, I have Intake, Header, tp, exhaust, 4.77 final drive gears and a 75 shot of nitrous. I race my friends C5 Z06 (whose actually in London right now as an alternate for men's Gymnastics) and I still got beat. With the nitrous Im probably making ~300whp and 220wtq which is WAY more than any reasonable N/A s2k with MAJOR n/a mods (including e85) and I was seeing tail lights.

I have a friend with a stage 2 GTI that I've raced and slightly pulled with NO spray, and on spray it's a massacre, so basically on spray my car is way faster than an N/A s2k. Tell your friend that he can switch his fuel to nitrous and he'll still lose his car.

Actually, scratch all that, make the side bet with him for $1k, buy a camcorder and tape the race + reaction of this guy, then come back and post it up. Lulz for all

Once he gets his car up and running I'll make the bet official. For now I am just waiting to see if he actually goes through with it. Although this admission is pretty convincing considering even a decent shot of nitrous couldn't take down the Z06. Thanks for the confidence booster =)
