The turbocharged 2007 BMW 3-series coupe has 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque in U.S. spec. Also sold here will be 230-hp 328i and all-wheel-drive 328xi coupes.
BY MIKE DUSHANE, April 2006
The BMW 335i coupe that goes on sale in September 2006 may look like nothing more than the latest chapter in the 3-series coupe book, but there are some radical changes under the skin. The 335i (the C goes away on this coupe as it did on the 650i for the 2006 model year) will have a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six with piezoelectric direct injection. It

Eh, something with your SC install or tune must be wrong. My friend runs 12.8@114 (babying the diff with 2.3 60's) with his SC S2000. The 335's run mid 13's at just a hair over 102-106mph (TT trim). You should have stomped the piss out of it. ESPECIALLY from a roll.

Ive driven both, on the street, they are pretty darn close. And you can squeeze a low 13 out of a 335 coupe.

A supercharged S2K trapping well over 110 feels like a 335I? Maybe due to the tq, but at the strip the S2K should dominate, same for "from a roll" romps. 7-10mph trap speed will make a HELLUVA! difference from a 70-100+punch!

I know the numbers... I'm just saying... I own both cars and it's really hard for me to say the S2000 is significantly faster.

What makes the 335 so great is that it's peak tq output lasts halfway through the power band. Stock, the 335 can sometimes put down 270ish hp to the wheels and 290lb of torque.

the SC s2000 won't "feel" faster because is still makes all the power up top...not the instant torque you get at like 1500rpm with the 335i...

a vortech s2000 will trap upwards of 108mph, which is enough to destroy a stock 335i....

A vortech s2000 wont "destroy" a 335. I don't know how else to explain it to you. It's faster, but not by that much.

haha- jesus bro, what in my original post lead you to believe that I got walked. I clearly stated that with a carlength disadvantage off the go, I managed to downshift and real him in winding out 1 gear. It was a weak pull, we were not lined up, we didnt have a tree, and we were not at the drag strip- It was him sporatically dumping the throttle and me giving chase in third gear. period. I have no doubt in my mind that given a fair start, with both cars even, Id run away the same way I do E46 M3's-
