Edmunds reports rather quicker times: 5.0 0-60MPH and 13.48 1/4 for the CLK55 AMG, which is probably a relatively new and unbroken-in car, since Mercedes' own 0-60 time is 4.9 and Mercedes' stated times are typically conservative.

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend last weekend's Mercedes Power Trip event at Suffolk Downs (Boston) and spent about 10 minutes as a passenger in a CLK55 AMG with a professional race car driver driving the car around the cones.....the car is definitely faster than our S2000 from 0-60 (he reached speeds in excess of 60 through the cones). He ran through a set of tires in about an hour's time to give you an idea of how he was driving the car. It was the most fun I have had in a car as a passenger. Although the car was nice, there is no way I would pass up 2 S2000's for 1 of them

That's just about right. I saw it on MotorWeek couple weeks ago and the 55 did a 13.5x ET.
