Old SKool vs. New Skool
#1
At a red, I just happened to line up against a 60's style rustang, not sure what year (not much of a muscle car fan) but I notice the passenger hawking my ride. I didn't think much of it, and didn't expect him to go but when the light hit green, the dude floored it and took off?!?! No revs, no nothing, so I kinda mash it too to catch up to him. We catch the next red and this time I'm ready. Light hits green and I don't do a clutch drop (too much spin, noise, and attention in the daytime) and just feather it in first until vtec, then I floor it. The stang keeps up with me under vtec range from start to 6k. That engine was f'ing loud as f*ck next to my open window, sounded like he was about to blow up or something with all that strain he was puttin on. We were about even from start to 6k rpm in first, but when vtec kicked in I just took off and through second I was about 2-3 cars ahead and shut it down in third.
Then he does a fly by, hahahhahah. I didn't know old skool domestics did rice-boy fly bys too? ahhahah
Oh well, that wasn't bad for something that was designed 30 something odd years ago, but that thing at full throttle sounded f'ckin crazy man.
