yea, i cant drive..... whats the pedal all the way to the left and why does the car make grinding sounds when i move the shifter.... :-P

i dont get it, why are people so defensive about another car being faster than theirs?

they are both awsome cars. After all the S2k is not a drag racer (neither is the g).

Anywho, maybe I am just lucky to have a wife that can drive better than me huh?

It's not that were defensive about cars that actually "are" faster then ours, but defensive about people thinking cars that are slower are actually faster for some reason. If the car is faster then I have no problem admitting it, even if I have beaten one through personal experience. The thing is if we know that the car is slower wthen ofcourse were ganna be defensive. As I said before and will say again, as much as a like both cars the S2000 will pull a G35 from any situation with both equal drivers.

oh I missed that YOU said the S2K was faster. ( JK)

I stand corrected...

Just posting my experience, it may be a-typical, it may be a fluke. I guess this must be the first slightly inaccurate post in the the "street encounters" :-P

Have good one and be safe out there.

Cheers

Your traction control does not matter since you are automatic and can only break-gas... If you call that a launch, ok.
Errrrr............................................ ..

Automatics usually launch much harder (not to mention more consistently) than corresponding 5/6spds in the same car. Ive got a lot of seat time in an auto G35 sedan, and that car can leave a light pretty damn hard, and with very little finesse required.

I don't believe ur encounter to be a fluke, I don't believe I sid that if I remember correctly. In ur match the G came out the victor. Once again I will say stock for stock, because I do not know what mods u have. But a G will probably respond better to mods then the S. Same goes for a lot of other cars, and still stock for stock the S is a bit faster then most.

Oh yeah they launch MUCH HARDER. I've never driven a G35 automatic, but I'm sure there's a limiter at 2.5k even with break-gas "launch".

I raced a automatic 350z in my stick 350z and he "launched" and I was gone already.............................. nice... sometimes I don't even know why I bother
